Everybody’s situation is different. This is what worked for me.
STEP 1: Remove van rust by grinding or sanding
STEP 2: Apply rust removal chemical
STEP 3: Repair small holes
STEP 4: Sand down rough spots
STEP 5: Apply rust prevention paint
